AMERICA THE ILLOGICAL!
 |
Who is the best
person
to vote on the laws
that effect you?
Some dictator or
king,
a small group of people,
or
YOU?

If your answer is you, then you must realize that this can never happen
in a Republic. What we need is to establish a real Democracy or at the very least a town hall like Democracy because only you can represent you on all the issues
that affect you.

AMERICA THE ILLOGICAL!
From paying farmers not to grow crops so that we can keep the price of
food high, to allowing leaders to make laws that they don't have to follow. We are a country becoming more and
more illogical in the things that we do. If it is self evident that people should not starve when there is an abundance
of food. It should be just as self-evident that it is illogical, no impossible, to be a Democracy and practice
minority rule.
If Democracy is majority rule! How can we practice rule by the majority, when more Americans vote for the winner
of some TV contest than they do for the president of the United States. Once again just like with our economics,
our ability to achieve Democracy has changed.
So the question is this, who is the best person to vote on the laws that effect you? Some dictator or king, a small
group of people, or you? Using the communication technology that we have today, it is now possible for all Americans
to be informed of the issues, debate the issues and vote on the issues faster than it took our founding fore-fathers
to get from where they lived to Washington.
Today we can practice true Democracy, and only a true Democracy can be of, by, and for the people. Of this you
can be certain, when the few make the laws. They will not care about what will benefit the minority, nor about
what benefits the majority of the people. They will only care about what benefits them. When the majority make
the laws, they will do so to the benefit of the majority. O.K. it is easy to see that it is illogical for us to
love Democracy and not practice it. I also think that we can all agree that it is illogical for America to have
a hunger problem amidst our abundance of food. Now I would like to address something that simply defies logic and
reason, and that is just how illogical are the economic rules we use today to promote business in America.
